President Radev, three European Commissioners and seven ministers at a forum on green transformation

Forum “The Green Transition in Central and Eastern Europe” invites to a conversation about the green transformation.

The event, organized by Dir.bg and 3E.news.bg, will take place from June 20 to 22 in the Sofia Event Center.

It will be opened by the President Rumen Radev, the Vice-President of the European Commission for Inter-Institutional Relations – Marosh Šefčovič, the European Commissioners Elisa Ferreira and Janez Potochnik, the Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel and the Ministers Julian Popov, Bogdan Bogdanov, Milena Stoycheva, Georgi Gvozdeykov, Kiril Vatev and Rumen Radev are invited. .

Among the speakers are the political scientist Ivan Krastev and the head of CEWR Ivan Ivanov.

In the conditions of energy crisis, the topic of the Green transition to a low-carbon economy continues to be among the most important in Europe and in Bulgaria, the organizers emphasize. For our country, which is among the most dependent on fossil fuels in the EU, this is a decisive moment and an opportunity for modernization and innovation, not only for the energy sector, but also for the Bulgarian economy as a whole.

That is why the focus of the discussions will be topics such as: energy security; the future of base energy capacities; the development of green infrastructures; innovation as an accelerator for competitiveness and the future of AI, financial investments in a green economy; sustainable investment funds; ESG and regulations; sustainable development of cities; green mobility; education of the future; agritech, prices, food and food security, etc.
