Prof. Silvia Ilieva
Director of the GATE Institute at the SU
Sylvia Ilieva is a Director of GATE Institute at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
She joined Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” at 2002 as an associate professor, and since 2012 she is a professor. She was the head of the “Software Technologies” department from 2009 till 2015 and a team leader of BSc and MSc Software Engineering programmes creation in compliance with ACM/IEEE recommendations. She has a good record of successful participation in over 30 European research and education projects. She has co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed academic publications
Her research interests are in the areas of software platforms, software processes, AI software engineering.
