Prof. Andres Leon-Geyer

Andres is a creator in interactive media, university professor and researcher with studies in philosophy (PhD), theatrology, musicology and cinema, as well as training in visual and performing arts. He is currently investigating the use of media in performative contexts, trends and tools in new technologies, and the forms and manifestations of digital culture. Within this last area, he focuses on the current developments and challenges of Extended Reality, such as ethical awareness and responsible design. As head of the Laboratory for Digital Innovation and Creation of the Faculty of Performing Arts (LabXR AE) in the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), he aims to foster the exploration of emerging technologies in creative expressions, to enhance connections between academia and industry, and to consolidate the integration of his institution in the international ecosystem.
