Maria Marinova
CEO of the Bulgarian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association
Maria is the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Equity and Venture Investment Association BADRI/BVCA and a member of the Advisory Board of the Fund Manager for Financial Instruments in Bulgaria – FMFIB. She is responsible for the overall organization and strategy of the association.
Prior to BVCA, Maria served as a communications expert at the European Equity and Venture Investment Association in Brussels (Invest Europe). There he worked on industry promotion and building understanding and recognition of the equity and venture capital sector through various communication initiatives and publications.
Maria also has experience in the field of education, in Belgium and Bulgaria. She worked at the Institute of European Studies in Brussels (IES) and at the American University in Bulgaria. Previously, Maria was part of the team of the business confederation UNITEE in Brussels.
Maria has two master’s degrees obtained in Brussels: European Communications and Diplomacy.
