Theodoros Pelagidis is Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece, with responsibilities related to monetary policy implementation, investment portfolio management, global capital markets, payment and settlement systems, and banking restructuring.

He chairs the Financial Assets Management Committee, the Resolution Measures Committee, and the Environmental Policy Committee of the central bank.

Alongside his role in central banking, Theodoros Pelagidis is Professor of Economics at the University of Piraeus. In 2023, he served as Minister of Finance in the caretaker government of Greece.

His professional and academic work includes numerous publications, analyses, and books focused on the Greek economy, European economic policy, competitiveness, and financial stability.
