Green Transition Forum 6.0

Emmanouil Vlachoyiannis is a longstanding pillar of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI/ΕΒΕΘ), with a career of service to the institution spanning nearly four decades. He was first elected as a member of the TCCI's Board of Directors in December 1987, after which he served successively as Financial Supervisor (1988–1993), General Secretary (1993–1997), 2nd Vice President (1997–2006), and 1st Vice President from June 2006 onwards. Beyond the Chamber itself, he also served as 1st Vice President of the Thessaloniki Merchants' Association, Vice President of the Greek Business Council of OSEP, and 2nd Vice President of the Greek Chamber Transport Association (EESYM).

In January 2025, Vlachoyiannis was bestowed with a historic distinction. He was honored with the title of Honorary President of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry — a distinction that had never previously been conferred in the Chamber's entire history since its founding in 1914 — and was also awarded the Chamber's Gold Medal in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the institution and the business community. He has also represented the TCCI at the Greek National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Hellas) and on the Board of Directors of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF-HELEXPO), and since 2011 has been elected as a member of the General Council of the World Chambers Federation (ICC–WCF).
