Tasos Vasiliadis is a senior entrepreneurship and innovation expert with more than two decades of experience in developing innovation ecosystems, supporting startups and SMEs, and leading European initiatives in the fields of entrepreneurship, education, and digital transformation.

He is the Founder and CEO of JOIST Innovation Park in Larissa, Greece — a dynamic innovation hub and European Digital Innovation Hub focused on fostering innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and regional ecosystem development. Through JOIST, he actively supports startups, SMEs, educational institutions, and public organizations in accelerating digital transformation and innovation-driven growth, while building strategic partnerships across Europe.

In parallel, Tasos Vasiliadis is also the Founder and CEO of the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED), an organization dedicated to research and implementation of projects related to entrepreneurship, education, employment, gender equality, and sustainability. Under his leadership, iED has become an active participant in numerous European programs and international collaborations aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial culture and innovation capacity.

Dr. Vasiliadis holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Education from the University of the Aegean, with research focused on the contribution of education and training to entrepreneurship and the impact of gender differences on entrepreneurial development. He also holds postgraduate degrees in Educational Studies and Marketing, combining academic expertise with extensive practical experience in innovation management, training, and ecosystem building.

Throughout his professional career, he has led and participated in a wide range of initiatives related to startup acceleration, vocational training, innovation support services, and regional development. His expertise spans entrepreneurship education, innovation policy, digital transformation, ecosystem development, and cross-sector collaboration between academia, industry, and public institutions.

As an active advocate for regional cooperation and innovation-driven economic development in South East Europe, Tasos Vasiliadis strongly supports collaborative approaches that connect innovation ecosystems across borders and strengthen the region’s competitiveness within the broader European innovation landscape.
