Zornitsa Rusinova

Chair of the Economic and Social Council

Zornitsa Rusinova is a public figure. He has a master’s degree in international economic relations from UNSS and a master’s degree in Bulgarian philology and English philology from Sofia University.

Zornitsa Rusinova worked in management positions in the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and in the Ministry of State Administration and Administrative Reform in the period 2007-2012.

He has many years of experience in program and project management, gained in the United Nations Development Program, the US Agency for International Development and the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Program.

He held the post of Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy from March 2012 to March 2013. and November 2014 – May 2016, being responsible for labor market policy, international relations, labor and social law, income and demographic policies, and international and European funding programmes.

She headed the Employment Agency, the Managing Authority of the Operational Program “Human Resources Development 2016”, project “Beautiful Bulgaria”.

From May 2016 to January 27, 2017, he was the Minister of Labor and Social Policy.

From May 2017 to December 2, 2020, he was the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Bulgaria.

From December 3, 2020 to the present, Zornitsa Rusinova is the chairperson of the Economic and Social Council (ESC).
