Zinaida Zlatanova
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice (2013-2014)
Zinaida Zlatanova was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the Republic of Bulgaria – from May 2013 to August 2014.
She was born in Sofia. Her father is the former Deputy Minister of Education Kamen Velev. He graduated from the local German language high school. He has a master’s degree in law from Sofia University. For some time he was the chief expert at the Ministry of the Environment. In the period 2001 – 2007, he was the director of the Directorate “Coordination of EU Affairs and International Financial Institutions” at the Council of Ministers. In 2008, he became the head of the representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria.
