Dr. Petko Nikolov
Caretaker Minister of Economy and Industry
Dr. Petko Nikolov holds a PhD in Economics and Intellectual Property Management from the University of National and World Economy. He holds two Master’s degrees in Finance from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius and in Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Petko Nikolov has specialized in currency, customs and tax control, as well as criminal law.
He was a member of the Sofia Bar Association, has many years of experience as a lawyer, and was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Privatization Agency.
He has four years of teaching experience in the Department of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer.
Dr. Petko Nikolov has been Chairman of the Commission for Protection of Competition, the Patent Office and Executive Director of the National Company Industrial Zones.
