Yordan Bozhilov

Yordan Bozhilov is a security and defence expert and founder of the Sofia Security Forum. He has had a long career in Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defence, where between 1992 and 2013 he held various positions, including Director for International Cooperation, Deputy Director for Security and Defence Policy, and Head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Defence. He served as Deputy Minister of Defence in 2022, and public profiles also identify him as a lecturer at Sofia University. He holds master’s degrees in Political Science and Law.
