Vasil Golemanski

Vasil Golemanski is a seasoned expert in capital markets and financial supervision with over 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. In March 2025, he was appointed by the National Assembly as Chairman of the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) for a six-year term. Prior to leading the FSC, Golemanski held key positions at the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the Central Depository. From 2010 to 2018, he served as Executive Director of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and from 2012 to 2025, he was Executive Director of the Central Depository. His educational background includes a degree in Electronics and Automation from the Technical University – Plovdiv (1991) and a master's degree in International Business from the South-West University "Neofit Rilski" (2020). As Chairman of the FSC, Golemanski emphasizes transparency, active dialogue with supervised entities, digitalization, strict oversight of the capital, insurance, and pension markets, as well as a smooth transition to the eurozone and cybersecurity. ​
