Green Transition Forum 6.0

Tsvetan Simeonov is President of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), a position he has held since being elected in June 2009. He has spent more than 40 years at the BCCI, building his professional experience across various departments of the organization. A lawyer by training, he studied at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," graduating with a Master's degree in Law in 1979, and later pursued postgraduate qualifications in International Arbitration, Commercial Law, and Labour Law at the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin. He also holds the honorary distinction of Commander of the Order of Leopold II of Belgium.

On the international stage, Simeonov serves as a member of Bulgaria's Employers' Delegation with the International Labour Organization in Geneva, sits on the Board of Directors of EUROCHAMBRES in Brussels, and participates in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Business Council, among other bodies.

Domestically, he is a prominent voice on economic policy — advocating for stable tax policy and eurozone membership as key drivers of investment attractiveness, and drawing attention to the labor force shortage as a pressing challenge affecting all Bulgarian employers.
