Tsvetan Alexiev is a technology visionary, a pioneer in artificial intelligence, and an accomplished executive with decades of proven leadership experience. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Sirma Group Holding AD (Sirma) since 2002, leading the company’s transformation into a globally recognized technology group.
In his role as CEO, Tsvetan has been instrumental in shaping Sirma's long-term strategy and in leading the company's successful development. He has overseen the consolidation of Sirma's subsidiaries under a unified brand, thereby strengthening the company's position as the largest IT group in Bulgaria. Under his leadership, Sirma [SIRM] completed one of the most successful IPOs for an IT company on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange in 2015. A decade later, on February 24, 2026, Sirma completed a dual listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
His visionary approach and strategic leadership have significantly enhanced Sirma’s technology portfolio and business expertise. He plays a key role in identifying and developing new industry verticals while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence across the group's divisions.
He began his professional journey at Sirma in 1993 as a software engineer. Prior to joining the company, he participated in research and development projects for the Bulgarian space program, where he worked on advanced software technologies in medicine and physics. This experience provided a strong foundation for his future achievements in technology and innovation.
Tsvetan Alexiev holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Sofia, earned in 1993.
