Trayan Trayanov is Executive Director of the "Teach for Bulgaria" Foundation, a role he has held since 2019. He has been part of the organisation since its founding in 2010, previously serving as Programme Director, where he was responsible for the recruitment, selection, and training of teachers in the programme, as well as the development of the alumni community and the overall monitoring and evaluation of the programme's impact.
Trayan was born and raised in Silistra, in a family of theatre actors. He completed his secondary education at the American College of Sofia, went on to study social sciences at Connecticut College and Harvard University, and holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Cambridge. He began his career as a business analyst in New York, London, and Prague before returning to Bulgaria to join "Teach for Bulgaria" at its inception.
