Former Deputy Minister of Energy and Energy Consultant

Teodora Georgieva is a recognized expert with a strongly developed geopolitical and strategic understanding of energy infrastructure projects and a proven ability to build trusted partnerships with international institutions, governments and key stakeholders.

She is a former Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria and a senior manager with over 30 years of international experience in managing strategic projects and working with a wide range of stakeholders.

She graduated from UNWE (Master's in Finance) and has additional specializations in Leadership (Leadership Transition) at INSEAD and at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

From 2015 to 2026, she served as Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors of ICGB, where she built and enabled the realization of the Greece–Bulgaria Gas Interconnector (IGB), established as a key project for the Southern and Vertical Gas Corridor and for energy security in the region.

From 2012 to 2014, she was Managing Director of Nabucco Bulgaria, and prior to that worked for 13 years at OMV Bulgaria, including 8 years as Managing Director, with responsibilities covering Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

Georgieva is the Bulgarian coordinator of the European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) (2009) and has been ranked among the top 10 Bulgarian managers for two consecutive years.

Married, with two children.
