Tanya Pancheva, PhD has extensive managerial experience in the field of education and the management of national and international projects and programs. Since 2016, she has been the Principal of the 55th Secondary School “Petko Karavelov”, Sofia.
She has worked as an early foreign language education teacher, a primary school teacher, and a part-time lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy for the Master’s educational qualification degree, speciality “Educational Management” at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). She is the author of scientific publications on leadership and management in secondary education.
She completed a Master’s degree in “Educational Management” at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Kliment Ohridski”. She holds a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Public Administration from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Kliment Ohridski”.
She is a recipient of the honorary award “Neofit Rilski” of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) for long-term comprehensive highly professional labour activity in the system of public education and contribution to the educational cause in Bulgaria, of “Director of the Year — 2018” of the Bulgarian Teachers’ Union (SBU), and of the Award for comprehensive contribution to the development of the Sofia educational system of Sofia Municipality.
