Sofia Papadogiannaki has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), since 2025, where her research focuses on “Advanced Modeling of Airborne Pollen in Urban Mediterranean Environments.”She completed her Ph.D. at AUTH in the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics. Her doctoral research focused on the development of a modeling system for studying and forecasting biological weather in the greater Thessaloniki area. Her main research interests include pollen modeling, aerobiology and atmospheric pollution.
Since 2018, she has participated in 12 national and international research projects related to air quality, the urban heat island effect, climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. She has authored 9 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, 8 papers in international conference proceedings and has delivered 7 conference presentations. Her work has received 181 citations, with an h-index of 7.
