Prof. Dr. Darina Zaimova

Prof. Dr. Darina Zaimova is a representative of Exogen Hydrogen Solutions—the coordinator of “ZAHYR - Zagora Sustainable Hydrogen Region” for Bulgaria. Her work focuses on establishing the country’s first hydrogen valley by connecting science, business, and local government to implement clean technologies. She possesses extensive managerial experience in the academic sphere. She has held positions as vice-rector for research and international affairs both in Bulgaria and at international educational institutions. In her administrative role, she promotes international scientific cooperation and technology transfer. Her current research achievements focus on decarbonization processes. She coordinates key large-scale initiatives of the new generation. As an expert, she develops models for smart specialization, the bioeconomy, and digital transformation in support of regional development.
