She also engages in international cooperation to enhance carbon pricing as a climate policy tool worldwide. With over 25 years of experience in government administration, policy analysis, and international relations, Mette brings a strong focus on climate change, innovation, and economics.
Mette is passionate about advancing the EU's leadership and cooperation in addressing the global climate challenge and ensuring a fair and cost-effective transition to a low-carbon economy and climate neutrality. Known for managing complex and multidisciplinary projects, building effective partnerships, negotiating, and delivering high-quality results, she has built a strong track record throughout her career. Mette holds a Master of Science in Economics from Copenhagen University and a Master of Science in International Business and European Integration from Reading University.
