Maria Krasteva is the Director of the Bulgarian Natural Gas Association (BNGA), where she leads strategic initiatives and advocacy efforts in Bulgaria’s natural gas sector. With over a decade of experience in the energy industry, she is recognized as an expert in energy policy, sustainability, and communications.
Krasteva is a PhD candidate at the Department of History and Theory of Journalism at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” focusing her research on public communication in the field of renewable energy. She holds a Master’s degree in “Economics and Management of Energy, Infrastructure, and Utilities” and a Bachelor’s degree in “Public Relations” from the same university.
Before leading BNGA, Krasteva served as the Executive Director of the Free Energy Market Association and worked as a marketing and PR specialist at Public Services Ltd. She is also a co-founder of the online media outlet Publics.bg, which specializes in energy and public services.
