Marek Mora is a Czech financial and economic policymaker who became Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) on 20 October 2025. Appointed by the EIB Board of Governors on the basis of a nomination by the Czech government, he succeeded Kyriacos Kakouris of Cyprus and joined the bank's Management Committee. Before taking on the role, he served as Czech Deputy Finance Minister from April 2023, was Deputy Governor of the Czech National Bank for more than four years, and held senior positions at the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, including heading the cabinet of the secretary-general and running the department for budget, tax, and regional policy.

Since joining the EIB, Mora has been active on several fronts. He announced a €100 million financing agreement to support Malta's second electricity interconnector with Italy, aimed at strengthening energy security and facilitating renewable energy integration. He also met with Uzbekistan's President and an EU Commissioner in Brussels to advance EIB–Uzbekistan cooperation under the GlobalGateway initiative, covering a €1.5 billion project pipeline focused on energy, transport, and connectivity. He is notably the first Czech national to serve as EIB Vice-President since 2007.
