Manyu Moravenov Ph.D.

He has over 25 years of experience in finance, investments, real estate, and capital markets. Dr. Moravenov is also a professional member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), specializing in real estate investment and valuation. Prior to joining BSE, Dr. Moravenov held several senior management positions in institutions and NGOs within the Bulgarian capital and investment markets. Under his leadership, the BEAM market for small and medium enterprises has become one of the most successful capital market initiatives in Central and Eastern Europe. In recent years, it has emerged as one of the most dynamic SME growth markets in the region. Since its inception, 19 new companies have listed on BEAM, raising over BGN 66 million to support their growth. Other strategic projects led by Dr. Moravenov include EuroBridge and the crowdfunding platform SpaceCrowd. EuroBridge is the newest segment of the BSE, allowing for dual listing on regulated markets in both Bulgaria and Germany. SpaceCrowd, a joint project between the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the Central Depository, serves as a natural extension of BEAM, offering smaller companies and startups an opportunity to raise funding through crowdfunding. Dr. Moravenov is also the founder and key driver behind Bulgaria’s first and only ESG think tank – the Center for Sustainable Finance and Energy, established by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Moravenov is a long-time lecturer in finance, business, and entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in Finance, Credit, and Insurance from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” and a Master’s degree in Economics and Informatics from the University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria.
