Lukas Mandl is an Austrian politician from the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), elected as a Member of the European Parliament in 2017 and re-elected in 2019. Born on July 12, 1979, in Vienna, he graduated in communication sciences from the University of Vienna in 2004. Mandl is member of the EU Parliament, DEVE, LIBE and JURI. He also chairs the European Parliament Delegation for Relations with the Korean Peninsula and is a member of the Special Committee on Foreign Interference in all Democratic Processes in the European Union. Mandl is an active advocate for Euro-Atlantic values and the stability of the Western Balkans. He leads the Transatlantic Friends of Israel group and chairs the Kosovo Friendship Group in the European Parliament. In 2023, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Kadri Zeka in Kosovo for his contributions to European integration and regional stability.
