Lou Kaiser serves as Head of ESG at EUPD Group, a Bonn-based research and consulting organization founded in 2000 that specializes in data-driven market research across energy, social sustainability, and ESG topics. Lou's passion for sustainability began during their studies, and by age 24 they had earned three master's degrees. In this leadership role, Lou oversees EUPD's ESG division, which focuses on corporate sustainability, ESG reporting transparency, and related advisory services for companies across Europe.
A central part of Lou's work involves driving the ESG Transparency Award — Europe's benchmark for transparent ESG reporting — and the ESG Transparency Committee, which brings together ESG leaders from top European companies. Lou has articulated a clear philosophy that transparency is the measure of credible sustainability, and that a sustainability report should not only show what a company aims to achieve, but also make measurable progress, challenges, and actual accountability visible. Lou has also been active in shaping policy discourse; commenting on the evolving European sustainability regulatory landscape, Lou has emphasized that the ESG Transparency Committee will continue to maintain a clear focus on transparency as a prerequisite for comparability, accountability, and the credible pursuit of European climate goals — leveraging years of industry experience and a broad network of companies and sustainability experts.
