Kristian Krustev is an economist and public figure with a long-standing career in the field of transport and public administration. He works actively in the areas of digitalization and public services, intelligent transport connectivity, and sustainable economic growth through innovation and integrated policies.
He holds a PhD in Economics and has degrees in “Industrial Economics” and “International Economic Relations.” He is fluent in Russian and English.
His career in transport began in 2003 in the "Corporate Restructuring and Capital Market" Directorate at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology, and Communications. He later served as Deputy Minister and Minister within the same ministry. From the beginning of 2020 until the end of 2022, he was Deputy Mayor of Sofia in charge of “Transport and Urban Mobility.”
