Konstantinos Gioulekas was born in Thessaloniki. He holds a law degree and a degree in Political Science and Public Law from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He also holds a Master's degree in Criminal Law and is a PhD candidate in Constitutional Law at the University of Peloponnese.
He practiced law for 20 years, specializing in Criminal and Commercial Law and Intellectual Property issues. He is a member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association.
Journalism
For approximately 30 years, Mr. Gioulekas worked as a reporter, editor, news director, and columnist in various newspapers, magazines, and radio and television stations, including "Ellinikos Vorras," "Vradini," "Macedonia," "Thessaloniki," "Sports of the North," ERT, TV100, FM100, and A103 FM. He also taught journalism for many years.
Political Career
Mr. Gioulekas was first elected as a Member of Parliament for Thessaloniki with New Democracy in the April 2000 elections and has been re-elected in subsequent elections, including January 2015, May 2012, October 2009, September 2007, and March 2004.
He served as Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, responsible for Lifelong Learning and Vocational Education
