Kalin Kamenov has been the Mayor of the Municipality of Vratsa since 2015, currently serving his third consecutive term. Under his leadership, Vratsa has undergone a major infrastructural and environmental transformation, emerging as a leading example of sustainable municipal modernization in Northwest Bulgaria. He has successfully driven key regional green initiatives, including the complete overhaul of the city's public transport with eco-friendly electric fleets, massive updates to the water cycle infrastructure, and targeted programs for energy efficiency and urban renewal.
Prior to his mayoral tenure, Kalin Kamenov built a distinguished career in public administration and youth policy, serving as the Chairperson of the State Agency for Child Protection (SACP) and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. He holds a degree in Law and is heavily involved in national municipal governance, currently serving as a member of the Managing Board of the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB), where he advocates for decentralization and sustainable regional funding.
