Hristo Panchev

Hristo Panchev is part of the Greenpeace Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) team since March 2023 as coordinator in the Green Reconstruction of Ukraine initiative. He leads the Eco City Model campaign and the implementation of the multidisciplinary project Dnipro River Integrated Vision, working with experts from Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Ireland and the USA. In 2022 he was an advisor to the political cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policies in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. Author in the popular science platform for climate change - climateka.bg. Activist, communicator and researcher on climate, energy transformation and the place of human behaviour in the transition to carbon neutrality. Lecturer and PhD in Communication Sciences and Semiotics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Member of the Institute for Circular Economy and the Climate Coalition - Bulgaria. Founder of the first social advertising competition in Bulgaria – RE:klamacia.
