His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan, a statesman and peacemaker, has dedicated decades to promoting peace, dialogue, and humanitarian justice. He champions the rights of all to live in peace and dignity, founding numerous organizations for cultural, religious, and scientific exchange, emphasizing diversity and mutual respect. His international influence includes co-chairing the Independent Commission on International Humanitarian Issues, serving on the Commission on the Legal Empowerment of the Poor, and chairing the United Nations Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation. HRH continues to advocate for refugee rights as an honorary co-chair of the World Refugee and Migration Council. Currently leading Jordan’s Zero Hunger Strategic Review, HRH works on developing comprehensive food security policies addressing various challenges. Additionally, Prince Hassan is an author, contributing to literature on topics such as Jerusalem, peace politics in the Middle East, Palestinian self-determination, and Islam's role in democracy and peace.
