H.E. Brânduşa Ioana Predescu

Her Excellency Brânduşa Ioana Predescu has served as Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Bulgaria since 2022. A seasoned career diplomat, she brings extensive experience in bilateral and multilateral relations, EU foreign affairs, security policy, and strategic communication. Prior to her posting in Sofia, Ambassador Predescu held senior positions at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Director for Strategic Communication and Public Diplomacy, and served as Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister. She has been actively involved in EU enlargement, regional cooperation, and connectivity initiatives across Southeast Europe and the Black Sea region. Ambassador Predescu is widely recognised for her collaborative, forward-thinking diplomacy and plays a pivotal role in strengthening Romania–Bulgaria ties within the EU and NATO frameworks, while promoting cross-border initiatives in energy, infrastructure, security, and cultural dialogue.
