Gergana Aneva is the Managing Director of Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Bulgaria, the Sofia office of one of Europe's leading public affairs and strategic communications consultancies. Before taking on this role, she gained sixteen years of experience advising national and international corporations, governments, and the public sector. She has a background as Head of the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria for Demographic and Social Policies (2015–2016) and as an adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs (2008–2009). She developed a deep understanding of EU policies and coordination through years of professional experience in the European Parliament in Brussels.
Prior to joining Rud Pedersen, she served as Director at the State eGovernment Agency of Bulgaria, where she was responsible for legal affairs, human resources, administration services, international cooperation, and the protocol directorate, as well as coordinating with European institutions on the implementation of international policy.
Aneva led the launch of Rud Pedersen's Sofia office in 2022, which was the group's fifth new market opening that year. Under her leadership, the office advises international clients in the Bulgarian market while also offering Bulgarian companies access to a truly European advisory network operating nationally and internationally. The firm is part of a group with offices across 18 European countries, known for its Nordic heritage of transparency, pragmatism, and accessibility.
