Georgi Tachov

Georgi Tahov is the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria, appointed on January 16, 2025, by the 51st National Assembly. He holds a PhD in Economics with a specialization in „Finance, Monetary Circulation, Credit, and Insurance“ and has master's degrees in „Accounting and Control“ from D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov, „Law“ from Veliko Tarnovo University „St. St. Cyril and Methodius“, and „Strategic Leadership and Public Order Management“ from the Academy of the Ministry of Interior. He specialized in industrial economics and management in Germany. Mr. Tahov has extensive managerial experience in the National Revenue Agency and served as Executive Director of the State Fund Agriculture from 2022 to April 2024. He is fluent in German and English and is committed to implementing the principles of the European Green Deal in Bulgaria's agricultural sector.
