Enrico Letta is an Italian politician and scholar who has held key positions in Italian and European politics and academia. From April 2013 to February 2014, he served as Prime Minister of Italy, leading a national unity government during a period of economic and social crisis. In 2023, the European Commission tasked him with preparing a report on the future of the Single Market. Letta is the President of the Jacques Delors Institute, a leading European think tank dedicated to European integration and sustainable development. He is also the Dean of the IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs at IE University, Spain. From 2015 to 2021, he served as Dean of the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po, Paris. In 2019, he was elected President of APSIA (Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs). As a minister in various cabinets, Letta has been responsible for European affairs, industrial policy, and trade. He has served as a Member of the European Parliament (2004–2006) and the Italian Chamber of Deputies (2001–2004, 2006–2008).
