Dr. Johannes Lindner serves as Co-Director of the Jacques Delors Centre in Berlin, leading the think tank's work on EU economic and financial policy. Prior to this role, which he assumed in October 2022, Lindner was Head of the EU Institutions and Fora Division at the European Central Bank (ECB), coordinating the bank's relations with EU institutions, including the Council and the European Parliament. His professional experience also includes positions as Counsellor to a member of the ECB's Executive Board and Advisor in the area of Market Infrastructure and Payments. Lindner holds master's degrees in Public Administration and Public Policy from the London School of Economics (1998) and in Economics from the University of Cologne (1999), as well as a doctorate in Politics from the University of Oxford (2003), focusing on EU budgetary decision-making. He has been an Honorary Professor at Aston University in Birmingham since 2018 and teaches at the Hertie School. Lindner is also the inaugural recipient of the Henrik Enderlein Fellowship, funded by Stiftung Mercator.
