Dmytro Lyppa

Dmytro Lyppa is a seasoned executive and strategic advisor with over 20 years of experience in energy, heavy industry, and corporate finance. From 2023 to 2025, he served as General Director of Ukraine’s Gas Transmission System Operator, where he led a major turnaround—transforming a loss of UAH 49.4 billion in 2022 into a net profit of UAH 11.3 billion in 2023. He developed the company’s long-term strategy through 2029, including planning for a zero-transit gas scenario and launching a 200 MW distributed electricity generation program. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with Metinvest Group, holding multiple senior positions including CEO of Kamet-Steel and Director for Operations and Maintenance, overseeing complex metallurgical and industrial operations with thousands of employees. Earlier in his career, he worked at P&G Ukraine and as a consultant with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
Dmytro holds an Executive MBA from IMD Business School, is a Certified Management Accountant (USA), and has a Master’s degree in Finance & Economics from Kyiv National Economic University. He is fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, and has basic proficiency in German and Spanish. Currently, he serves as an advisor to the CEO of the Energy Company of Ukraine and works as an independent consultant.
