Dimitar Tsotsorkov

Mr. Tsotsorkov has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Asarel-Medet since 2017. He was Chairman of the Management Board from 2015 to 2017. He has been working in Asarel-Medet since 2001 first as a sales and hedging expert and then as a department manager and Corporate Development director. Prior to his current roles, Dimitar has worked for GLENCORE and had been the СЕО of the Austrian trading company AVC - a JV between Asarel and the biggest Austrian trading house VAIT Linz. Dimitar Tsotsorkov has been recognized as a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Pioneer for Digital Transformation and in 2022 became the first manager of a mining company to win the prestigious award.Mr. Tsotsorkov is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University in Bulgaria, Krastyo Sarafov National Academy of Theater and Film Arts and St. Ivan Rilski University of Mining and Geology. He established the Lachezar Tsotsorkov Foundation, funding initiatives in the fields of education, culture, and healthcare.Dimitar has a joint Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree from Richmond University, London and a Masters degree from Westminster University, London. He has also completed the entry course of the EMBA degree in IMD, Lausanne and numerous professional and academic specializations. He is fluent in English, Russian and German.
