Cristian Valer Beșeni was born on October 13, 1987, in Satu Mare County, Romania. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences with a focus on European Institutions Management (2006–2009) and a Master’s degree in Finance and Corporate Insurance (2009–2011), both from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
Beșeni began his professional career in January 2011 as an economist in the Public Procurement Office of the Emergency County Hospital in Satu Mare, a position he held until May 2015. From June 2015 to December 2020, he served as Administrator of the Emergency Department at the same hospital. In December 2020, he was appointed Vice President of the Satu Mare County Council, serving in that capacity until August 2022. He then returned to the Emergency Department Administrator role from August 2022 until December 2022.
In December 2022, Beșeni was appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests of Romania, where he continues to work. He holds a diploma in Hospital Management from the National School of Public Health, Management and Professional Development in Health and a certificate as a Public Procurement Expert.
