Boyko Takov

Dr. Boyko Takov has served as Executive Director of the Bulgarian SME Promotion Agency since his appointment by the Minister of Economy, Mr Emil Karanikolov, on 12 November 2018. He brings over twelve years of leadership experience in both the private and public sectors. From 2008 to 2012 he was Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian branch of a leading South Korean energy company. Prior to that, he spent four years as an expert in the Executive Agency for State Property at the Ministry of Defence. Dr. Takov’s career spans management roles in agriculture, energy and infrastructure, with a particular focus on investment, project and financial management. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management (Economics) from the Technical University of Sofia, and an M.A. in Marketing and Economics from the University of National and World Economy.
