Attila Kiss is a seasoned Hungarian legislator and local government official serving as a Member of the County Council of Hajdú-Bihar. With a career spanning over two decades in regional public service, including twelve years as a Member of the Hungarian National Assembly and nearly two decades leading municipal administration as a long-term mayor, he brings extensive expertise in regional development and grassroots governance.
At the European level, Attila has been an active member of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) since 2011. Representing the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group, he sits on the Commission for the Environment, Climate Change and Energy (ENVE) and the Commission for Territorial Cohesion Policy and EU Budget (COTER). Through these roles, he works to bridge European climate ambitions with the practical socioeconomic realities of regional and rural communities across Central and Eastern Europe.
