Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ofelia Kaneva works at the intersection of science, social policy, and societal transformation. An economist, researcher, and active contributor to the development of numerous social and educational initiatives, she has dedicated her professional journey to causes related to human potential, leadership, and the creation of a more connected and sustainable society.
Holding a PhD in Educational Management, a Master’s degree in Sociology, and an academic career as an Associate Professor of Economics, Ofelia Kaneva combines the expertise of a scholar with the practical experience of a professional who has served in key public institutions in Bulgaria. Her career includes leadership and expert positions within the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Social Assistance Agency, the Employment Agency, and the State Agency for Child Protection, alongside extensive teaching and analytical work.
Over the years, she has created and supported initiatives that provide opportunities for young people, active civic engagement, and social innovation. Beyond the academic and institutional sphere, Ofelia Kaneva also develops socially engaged cultural projects.
