Architect and Scenographer, Founder of Atelier Georgi Stanishev – Architecture & Scénographie, France

Arch. Georgi Stanishev is a distinguished Bulgarian architect and scenographer based in Paris. He holds a doctorate in architecture from Université Paris-Est, the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) in Sofia, and ENSA Paris-Malaquais, where he has been teaching architectural design and theory since 2011.  His research focuses on aesthetic languages at the intersection of architecture, installation, and decor. He is the founder of Atelier Georgi Stanishev – Architecture & Scénographie, where he realizes projects that blend architecture, scenography, and installation art.  In 2023, Arch. Stanishev co-curated the French Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale alongside Studio Muoto. Their project, “Ball Theater,” is a spherical architectural installation serving as a space for experimentation and performances, fostering dialogue on topics such as identity, utopia, and sustainability.  Additionally, he has participated in international projects like “The Wall” installation at the Concéntrico festival in Logroño, Spain, where, in collaboration with Studio Muoto, he created a temporary urban structure providing space for rest and social interaction.
