Tasko Ermenkov

Tasko Mihaylov Ermenkov has been a member of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission since March 2025. From 2013 to 2021, he served as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. During this period, he was Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Energy, Chair of the Committee for Oversight of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), and a member of the Standing Committee on Defense. From 2003 to 2010, he was Executive Director of the Energy Efficiency Agency, now known as the Sustainable Energy Development Agency. He participated in the development and implementation of laws and secondary legislation in the field of energy and energy efficiency. He is a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University, teaching "Energy Efficiency and Competitiveness." He holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relations, a Master's degree in National Security, and a PhD in Technical Sciences with a specialization in "Power Supply and Electrical Equipment."He has been awarded gold medals from the “Georgi Stoykov Rakovski” Military Academy and the Technical University of Sofia.
