From 1 to 5 June 2026, Sofia will become the capital of the conversation about Europe's future once again. For five inspiring days, the GTF community will meet, debate, and chart the next chapter of Europe's transformation.

Competitiveness

Europe must compete on its own terms. GTF 6.0 will explore how to reinvent industry, advance the circular economy, and strengthen energy, regional, and transport connectivity. The Forum will also discuss how the next Multiannual Financial Framework reflects the priorities of the European Competitiveness Compass and the Clean Industrial Deal, and how to mobilise private capital to align policies and funding that reinforce Europe's industrial base, accelerate the green transition, and drive technological leadership. The forthcoming European Grids Package, expected by the end of 2025, will further modernise Europe's energy infrastructure and enable a more connected and secure continent.

Innovation

In a Europe that must compete through creativity and technology, innovation is our strongest driver of progress. GTF 6.0 will highlight how artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and digital transformation are reshaping industries and societies. The Forum will explore how education, skills, and labour markets can evolve to harness these opportunities, foster breakthroughs in healthcare and other strategic sectors, and prepare citizens for the professions of the future. Security

Europe must secure its future, encompassing defence and energy, as well as water security, cyber resilience, and everyday protection. GTF 6.0 will examine how cooperation, investment, and industrial capacity can enhance Europe's strategic autonomy. Discussions will focus on strengthening defence readiness, safeguarding digital and energy infrastructure, ensuring the sustainable management of water resources, and protecting citizens from climate-related and natural hazards. Security, in all of its forms, is the foundation of Europe's freedom and leadership in the world.
