Virgil-Daniel Popescu
Minister of Energy of Romania
Dr. Virgil – Daniel Popescu is the Minister of Energy of Romania since December 2020.
Before being appointed as Minister, Mr. Popescu was the Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment.
He is also a former Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Industry and Services, in the Chamber of Deputies, Romanian Parliament. Member of the Romanian Parliament since 2016.
Minister Popescu is also involved in didactic, scientific and research activities, working as an associate professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Kraiów.
He holds a PhD in Management from the University of Craiova and a BS in Engineering/Automation from the University of Bucharest, Romania.
