Slavcho Neykov has more than 29 years of continuous experience in the energy sector, including as Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Member of the EWRC, expert in the Secretariat of the Energy Charter in Brussels, Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community in Vienna and others. Head of the negotiating team under Chapter 14 “Energy” in the framework of the negotiations for Bulgaria’s accession to the EU.

In addition to his work as an employee in state and international institutions, he has been in the management of several energy companies. Outside the energy sector, he has worked as a prosecutor and legal adviser. Neykov graduated from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University; he also has a two-year specialization in international economic relations, as well as a master’s degree in European integration from the University of Limerick in Ireland. Since December 2014, he has been the Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Energy Management.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of EUROELECTRIC and of the National Advisory Board of the Diplomatic Institute.
