Simeon Karakolev

Simeon Karakolev was born on May 29, 1978 in Gorna Oryahovitsa. He graduated with a degree in “Business Management” in Plovdiv and studied for a master’s degree in “Entrepreneurship and Strategic Marketing” at Thrace University – Stara Zagora.

He has been engaged in sheep breeding since 2003. Ideologist and founder of the National Sheep Breeding Association (NOA), and currently co-chairman of the National Sheep and Goat Breeding Association (NOKA)

In 2006, he founded the National Association for the Breeding of a Synthetic Population of Bulgarian Dairy Sheep”. He has been its chairman for four terms.

He is a member of the Advisory Council for Animal Husbandry to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Council for Genetic Resources in Animal Husbandry. He is working on the establishment of the Union of Sheep Breeders in Europe
