Mariyana Hamanova

Mrs. Mariyana Hamanova is Executive Director of Cleantech Bulgaria – business network for sustainable development working in close cooperation with public institutions, local government, business, academia and research and innovation organizations. Over the years the company has supported over 250 start ups on their way to the market and has implemented over 10 acceleration programs with focus on climate innovation, circularity and sustainable management of resources. Cleantech Bulgaria an official partner of the European Institute for Innovation and Technologies (EIT), a body of the EC. Cleantech Bulgaria operates as RIS Hub Manager of EIT Manufacturing and has over 10 years of experience working as representative for Bulgaria of EIT Climate KIC, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Food, as well as partner of the other EIT KICs namely, EIT Urban Mobility, EIT Raw materials and EIT Culture&Creativity.

As representative of Cleantech Bulgaria Mrs. Mariyana Hamanova has over 12 years of experience in the field of innovation support, sustainable development, climate change and circular economy. She coordinates the implementation of all programs and projects of Cleantech Bulgaria for business incubation, consulting and mentoring of start-ups and innovative SMEs, as well is responsible for the business development of the organization.

Mrs. Hamanova is an associated professor at the University of Finance, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Sofia (VUZF) and runs classes as part of the Master program “Circular economy and sustainable management”, jointly developed by VUZF and Cleantech Bulgaria. Over the years she has been an inspirational speaker to numerous events within the innovation ecosystem and is a recognized professional in supporting local actors in the process of the development and implementation of sustainable business solutions and transformation staretgies.
