Minister of Environment and Water
Julian Popov is a senior adviser to the European Climate Foundation, chairman of the Institute for Building Efficiency in Europe and former acting Minister of the Environment of Bulgaria. He was a goodwill ambassador of Bulgaria for energy and climate policy and an adviser on energy security to the President of Bulgaria. Popov is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations, the Climate KIC Advisory Board, and the governing boards of several other energy and climate related organizations. He is one of the founders and current member of the Board of Trustees of the New Bulgarian University and co-founder of the Tunisian School of Politics. Julian has been ranked twice by EurActiv as one of the 40 most influential voices in the field of European energy policies.
