Ivan Ivanov

Born in 1975 in Shoumen, Bulgaria. Graduated from the Nikola Vaptsarov High School of Foreign Languages (English, German and Russian), Shoumen. Master’s Degree in History (1999), the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Master’s Degree in Law (2006), the University of Veliko Tarnovo “SS Cyril and Methodius”. Doctoral thesis on history (2016). PhD in information management process (2018). Graduated from the Officers of the Reserve School in Shoumen (2000).

Ivan Ivanov has legal and administrative work experience as a legal adviser, lawyer and municipal councilor.

Since 2013 Ivan Ivanov has been Member of Parliament (42nd, 43rd, 44th, 45th, 46th and 47th National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria). Member and the Standing Parliamentary Committees on: European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds (Deputy Chair); Internal Security and Public Order (Deputy Chair); Legal Affairs. Minister of Culture in the cabinet elected by the 47th National Assembly on 13 December 2021.
